29th Sept Mid-Autumn Festival
Sry for the looonnnngggg delay in the updates. Been busy with attachment. Buuttt i noe nobody will mind right? (Cos nobody is reading i guess) Wahaha!

MoonCake Festival!!!
Yoz my beloved members of NP Soleil. It's been Sooooooo LoONNnnnGgg since we last met! (And i'm starting to miss you guys! Wahaha! All your Handsome Pretty Faces)
Well, Today is Mooncake festival.. But unfortunately, we are unable to go down to RCHD today as we normally planned our activity on a Sat. Well, it's ALRIGHT, cos.... We'll be heading down this Sat for a "belated" celebration. We'll be decorating up the place wif lanterns, at the same time feed the residents with mooncakes! Wooohooo! Hopefully the moon stays round till then =D
Alrights, cya guys there on Sat! It will be a afternoon event from 3-6p.m. We'll bring those traditional paper lanterns, then decorate it ourselves with Poster Colours! Following which would be hanging up the lanterns, then dinner for the residents and then Mooncakes session. So cya guys at 2.45p.m at the RCHD ^^

NP Soleil EXCLUSIVE tee-shirt~
YOYO! Sry for the big big big delay. Biggest apology, my bad...
But but but, the NP Soleil tee shirt is officially rdy!
To try to keep the Budget for each tee as low as possible,
the design is made as simple & fewer colours possible.
The colour of the tee shirt will be BLACK.
And here's the design for the back.
On a black tee, it shld look sumthin like:
Sry for the poor design, cause i'm not very gd at this.
I'll outline the words to make it clearer when i print it out.
Pls give ur comments on the tee, if there's no major prob,
this would be the finalised design =D
There will be a Ngee Ann logo at the front left chest,
and on the sleeve, there will be the word NP Soleil EMBROILED on it.
Erm, i guess the shirt will cost ard $15.
But i'll check again and let u guys noe.
Interested peeps, pls do tag ur name on the tagboard =D
(Comm members dun need tag, ALL need to buy)
Just kidding. if u dun wan also nvm. but comm members just let me noe directly.

Tatoes Potatoes!
Opps, sry for the delay, but the pics for the event on 1st SEP is FINALLY here!
Once again, i would like to express my thanks to the Sub-comm members for organising such meaningful event. Well done for coming up with such creative idea =D. Judging from the pictures, i can tell that the residents were really happy. I'm sure u made their day. So here goes the pics:

To further gear up the festive mood for National Day, Soleil sub-comm members did a banner, which was hung on 280707. The banner looked great, so to the sub-comm members: GREAT JOB!
Besides hanging the banner, we played a modified version of Snake and Ladders that uses ‘human counters’ and a gigantic dice. Both the residents and members had fun as we had ‘human counters’ who could play scissors, paper, stone for forfeit, if they happen to stand on the same number.
It was a fun day at RCHD, and we hope to do have as much fun again in the near future.
So, watch this space for future events k?

Decors decors & sticky fingers =P

On 21st of July, Soleil members spent a morning at RCHD making decorations for National Day.
We made mosaic letters that spells out ‘Singapore’, by pasting bits of old magazines on plastic pieces. This activity also involved plenty of gluing, sticky fingers and catching falling bits of magazines.
Both the residents and members had a fulfilling afternoon, and the finished decoration looked great as it was displayed. Through this activity, we hope to instil a festive mood in the residents in celebration of National Day.

RCHD event on 28th July 2007
Hi all, there will be an event this Saturday, 28th July 2007 at the RCHD. We'll be hanging up the banner at RCHD. Thereafter, there would be a minor game session with the residents. The game is actually a snake & ladder boardgame designed and scaled up by one of our very own soleil committee members. A BIG "Thank You" for his effort.
As usual, we'll be meeting 8.45am at the atrium next to the ATM machine. This time round there wouldn't be transport provided. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. We'll be taking public transport together to the RCHD. See you guys there =D

Member's Activity: BBQ
It's been weeks since we had our last member's activity. (In case you have forgotten, the first one was the "Amazing Race" event) Yups, we had BBQ at our publicity officer's house. Though response wasn't very good, we did have fun. The music was great, food was heavenly delicious, atmosphere was good. Overall everything went smoothly. Hope those who were present are happy with the activity. Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure, and of course we're looking forward to the next member's activity. Special thanks to the publicity officer and program coordinator for organising this BBQ.
BTW, yups, from now on, we'll be posting future events on this blog. It will act a form of "communication" for the committee to pass down message to the members. Pls do visit the blog often.
